Ring & Sing
Ring and Sing practices on Thursdays in the music room. This year there will be a new schedule to accommodate different ages and musical ability. Children in grades 1-3 will meet from 5:00-6:00. They will work on ringing skills for the first half hour. They will then rehearse with children in grades 4-6 from 5:30-6:00 learning songs to sing during the Sunday morning worship services. Children in grades 4-6 will come at 5:30 to sing with children in grades 1-3. They will remain until 6:30 to work on more challenging bell pieces.
The children will be ringing chimes this year as well on several of their pieces. The chimes are a great addition to our children’s music program! They will perform every 4-6 weeks and participate in CHORALFEST with children from several area churches in March. We hope to have children of all ages and abilities join us for the first time this year. Rehearsals include devotions, prayers and games in addition to ringing and singing.
