Phone card program for military men and women

U.S. servicemen and servicewomen serving overseas are always in need of phone cards so they may keep in touch with their family and friends at home.

The United Methodist Endorsing Agency (UMEA) of the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry has a way for you to help members of the military stay in touch with their loved ones through a phone card program. For the low cost of $4.95 you can purchase a 120-minute card through UMEA that they will send directly to United Methodist chaplains serving in areas of conflict. The chaplains then distribute the cards to service members as needed. The entire $4.95 you donate goes to purchasing the card; the agency keeps nothing for administering the program. In addition, each card carries the message: The people of The United Methodist Church are praying for your safety and sense of peace. Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are always open to you.
