March Madness Hits LUMC! "Nothing But Nets" Campaign Begins!

As you pass through the Gathering Area on Sunday morning, you might wonder what all the hoopla is about.
Th' at-large net is the #1 seed of an idea that could guard the lives of over 1 million African children.

Without getting too technical, the insecticide treated nets are a zone defense against mosquitoes and block the spread of malaria.

How can you assist? Simply take that $10 out of your wallet, don't bank it...think "Nothing but Nets! We swish you would contribute before the buzzer sounds!

So go ahead,"Get in the Game" and GIVE in March to the "Nothing But Nets" campaign to save lives in Africa.

Scouting Report: The United Methodist Church, working with other organizations like the NBA, is raising funds to purchase bed nets to prevent malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa. Help us keep children and families safe by purchasing a bed net today.

Game Stats: $10 = 1 Net = 1 Life
Your contribution of $10 (checks can be made payable to LUMC: memo line: Nothing but Nets) will be used to purchase a bed net, distribute it to a family in Africa and explain its use. These life saving nets can reduce the transmission of malaria by 50 %.
