The Journey: FREE

A church-wide journey is being planned at Loveland UMC and we have saved a space for YOU! For six weeks, we're going to focus on the theme "FREE". Everyone - all ages- will be on the same page, learning about the same topics and growing in similar ways.

Starting February 21, Loveland UMC will embark on an 6-week journey, along with 40 other churches in the Cincinnati area, comprised of a sermon series, small group study, Sunday school classes, and individual reflection based on the same weekly themes.

Here's a synopsis of this year's Lenten focus written by Crossroads Church's Pastor Brian Tome, author of Free Book - “I am a fanatic about freedom. I’m tired of seeing people beaten down by the world’s systems and by religion. I’m sick of seeing people live safe, predictable lives while their God-given passion dies. I hate the assumption that getting close to God means more rules and restrictions. No more. God’s offering real freedom. Get yours.”

Through the Lenten season, our worship experience, individual study and "Journey" small group gatherings, will be tied into "FREE". Our journey will be a multi-layered, multi-sensory, multi-community experience based on Free Book . Join us! You'll be blessed and so will we!

To get us ready for this journey, we need persons to open up their home to host a small group. Training and study supplies are provided. Simply register to host a 6 week small group by signing up on the host sheets posted on the bulletin board, just outside the toddler room, in the gathering area. You may also host a group and use the LUMC building.

Also, as groups start to become available, persons from the congregation are encouraged to register for a group, using the host sheets that are posted.
