ADULT DISCIPLESHIP -
BIBLE STUDY OFFERINGS
o Pathfinders:
Pathfinders Women’s Bible Study is an in-depth Bible study, fellowship and prayer group for the women of Loveland UMC and their friends. On Tuesday, March 5th, we will begin Beth Moore’s study, ESTHER: IT’S TOUGH BEING A WOMAN. We will “join Beth in a very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance as she peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives today. If you’ve ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the Bible study for you.”
If you have been thinking about inviting a friend to Pathfinders, or joining yourself, now is the perfect time! Childcare is provided for the morning session with a reservation. Please contact Sharon White at sharonw@lovelandumc.org with any questions or to arrange childcare. You were meant to be in Pathfinders “for a time such as this’!
o Begins Tuesday, March 5th through May 7th, 2013 at 9:00 am and 6:30 pm

o Ditto’s Bible Study:
The Dittos”, a seniors’ ministry offering is a very welcoming and fun gathering of people who love God, love each other and love welcoming new friends to the group! Our group meets weekly, all year round, to study God’s Word, encourage and pray for one another, and serve in our community through monthly outreaches of “Drive Thru Prayer” and “Worship” in Loveland’s retirement care facilities as well as other “Hands-On Off-Campus” outreach opportunities.
The Ditto’s are currently in a study called “Experiencing God” by Henry Blackaby. For more than 15 years, God has used Experiencing God in His work, showing believers how to know Him intimately while encouraging them to step out in faith and join Him in His work with miraculous results. The workbooks are $15. Please come and join us in this awesome journey! We will be continuing this study throughout the summer. You can join us anytime, you do not have to wait until we start a new offering to get connected!

SUNDAY SCHOOL
9:00am Facilitator: Gary Sweeney (Room U2)
In Dr. Matthew Sleeth’s book, 24/6: A PRESCRIPTION FOR A HEALTHIER, HAPPIER LIFE, Sleeth uses four video sessions to teach us to “remember the Sabbath and keep it holy”. Our technological tools allow us 24 hour productivity and connectivity, but subtly enslave us to busyness itself. This study lays out a simple plan to help us adopt Sabbath practices. For more information, contact Gary Sweeney at gs_daddo@hotmail.com.
10:30am Facilitator: Paulette Leeper (Discipleship Office)
John Stott’s book, JESUS CHRIST: TEACHER, SERVANT & SAVIOR, will be the new study for this class beginning April 14th. Exploring how the Christ of the New Testament is the fulfillment of the Old Testament, the gospels and letters reveal different aspects of Christ, yet at the same time present a united witness. For more information, contact Paulette Leeper at pleeper@fuse.net.
10:30am “Open Door Society” Facilitator: Eric Bradley (Room U2)
Ray Vander Laan’s book, FAITH LESSONS ON THE EARLY CHURCH: CONQUERING THE GATES OF HELL, is the new study for this class. Filmed on location in Israel and Turkey, Vander Laan takes the participant on a journey through the immoral culture of ancient Asia Minor, where the early Christian missionaries had such a dramatic impact. The study also includes Action Points – practical applications to turn each lesson into ways to make an important difference in the world around you. For more information, contact Eric Bradley at bradley.eric@live.com
10:30am “Explorers” Facilitator: Scott Walker (Room L1)
In Andy Stanley’s study, TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE, the question is asked, “Am I REALLY taking responsibility for my life?”. We all have responsibilities, but do we take them as seriously as we ought to? Wouldn’t it be great if everyone acted responsibly? In this online video/discussion series, participants are guided to stop the finger pointing and excuse making, starting with the first session, “Let The Blames Begin!”. For more information, contact Scott Walker at walker93@fuse.net.
DISCIPLE
Disciple is a 34-week commitment to Bible study and weekly small group meetings to discuss scripture, grow in relationship with God, and build friendships. Disciple 1 is the foundational class, in which you read 70 percent of the Bible, giving an overview of the Bible and God’s never-ending desire to be in relationship with people. Disciple 2, 3, and 4 take an in-depth look at select books in the Bible, furthering your growth with God.
Disciple 1 Class for 2013
Tuesday, January 8th through August 27th from 6:30-9:00pm
“Disciple 1: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study” is a 34-week, in-depth study of God’s Word from Genesis through Revelation. Through dedicated Bible study and small group interaction and discussion, participants will encounter God as Creator, Provider, Restorer, Shepherd, Savior, Messiah and King. “Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study” emphasizes the wholeness of the Bible as the revelation of God, written by human beings like ourselves, under His divine inspiration. “Disciple 1″ gives equal time to both the Old and New Testaments, equipping participants to connect their lives with the meaning of scripture, as the study moves chronologically through the biblical story. This study experience has the power to transform your life through the power of God’s word! Jeff Hawk will facilitate and can be contacted at jahfhv1@gmail.com.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church….’”.
