Please help us FILL THE ARK! LUMC Missions has undertaken a project that allows the entire church to get involved. We are saving "coins" to fill an "Ark" for Heifer Project International. Heifer International provides an animal for a family in need as a means to earn income. The Heifer Project is the mission designation for the youth of our church from Pre-K to 6th grade. The "Ark" includes a specific number of animals designed to help thirty families. The cost of the "Ark" is $5,000 and the good news is we are more than half way there! You can contribute in the weekly collection in the Children's Sunday School class, the quarter tube in the Gathering Area or through the weekly offering plate (please designate Heifer Project International on the giving envelope or check). L.I.F.E. FOOD PANTRY-

This week's LIFE Food Pantry needs are sugar, small bags of flour, cake mixes, canned fruit, shampoo, rice, cookies, pudding, rice/noodle boxed side dishes, jelly, ketchup, mustard and hot cereal. Thank you for the generosity you continually show the pantry with your donations.You can place your donations in the yellow barrel in the Gathering Area.

Special Offering: $5 on the 5th!
A special offering for the United Methodist Children's Home (UMCH) will be taken on the 5th Sundays in January, May, August and October. The offering will be taken on May 30th. Checks can be made payable to Loveland UMC indicating "Children's Home". Your fifth Sunday offering will help children directly right now. But as we move into September, your decision to help will also determine the care we give to UMCH children in 2011 as we prepare our ministry plan. United Methodist churches in Ohio have transformed thousands of children's lives through this ministry. Please honor your ownership so that together we will continue to serve children today and well into the future.

Haiti Relief Effort
Thank you for your generous donations and compassion for the people of Haiti. With us all working together, we were able to assemble 337 complete health kits plus 59 partial kits for our initial response, in addition to contributions totaling over $6,000, working along with our prayers for the people of Haiti and the relief workers/efforts. Our health kits left LUMC yesterday and are beginning their journey to Haiti! We pray that each kit be a blessing and expression of Jesus' transforming love to the people receiving the items. Also, our two "Hands on For Haiti" Outreaches at Matthew 25 Ministries connected 41 persons from LUMC, all ages, serving in the relief effort. Thank you for your faithfulness and living out the mission God has placed on our hearts as the Body of Christ at LUMC.
