Journey to the Tomb: April 22nd, 2011
On Good Friday, April 22nd, 2011 Loveland United Methodist Church will present the third annual offering of “Journey to the Tomb”. This community outreach event, led by the Dramadaries ministry team at Loveland UMC, provides guests with a walk thru journey of 10 stations depicting the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ Passion story.
Over 400 persons were able to witness, through drama and song, the story of God’s amazing love for each of us on April 2nd, 2010. Many of the guests that visited, from Loveland and neighboring communities, shared comments of how moving the presentation was and the thankfulness of being able to experience with their children the events in the life of Jesus from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem concluding with his journey to the tomb. At the end of the tour, guests were told that this wasn’t the end of the story “Today is Friday, but Sunday’s a comin’! All those on the journey were invited back for Easter Worship Services on Sunday, April 4th, to witness the concluding drama at the beginning of each service depicting Mary Magdalene going to the tomb and encountering the Risen Christ! Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
